== Modding Pointers == With the menus being based on Frontiers, the file formats used are identical; .pxd files are used for the animations and skeletons, .model files are used for the 3D models themselves. The biggest difference between modding most Sonic games and Origins is the use of encrypted CriWare assets. Any new assets to be modded into the game must be encrypted in order to function within Sonic Origins. This is particularly notable for the music and sound effects of the remastered games, as they also use ACBs and AWBs like all Sonic games following Lost World. === Resource references ===
